Si Tanggang (Folktale)

Si Tanggang is a Southeast Asian folktale about retribution on an ungrateful son.

Synopsis: Si Tanggang was born into a poor family, so he had to find a job at a very young age. He left his village to work and eventually became very rich. One day, he happened to visit this own village but he refused to recognize his own mother. His mother was upset at him so she cursed him and when he set sail, he and his ship turned into stone.
